Motcha Awuraja's bio-sphere is a very distinct habitat which includes many green life, water and animals that live within the ecosystem. The district is home to Ethiopia’s fast-diminishing last stands of rain-forest that has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world cultural / natural heritage. Preserving & protecting this natural habitat for future generations and expanding tourism opportunities is also a non-negotiable vision.
It is our goal to increase access to basic medical care and facilities. We believe that it is crucial for residents to get the necessary treatments and preventative care for their overall well being.
The inhabitants of Motcha Awuraja consist of highly diverse demographic representing several ethnicities speaking various languages and manifesting multitude of cultures, beliefs, and traditions. Cultural festivities and expressions are very distinct to the area and which have been passed down for generations.
